Schirmen Pharma Ventures into the Republic of Benin with New Pharma Products
With an aim to cater to the emerging markets in African countries for speciality Pharmaceutical and Healthcare products, Germany-based Schirmen Pharmaceuticals GmbH recently ventured into the Republic of Benin with its new range of products.
The company is known for manufacturing and marketing of quality immunomodulators, antimalarial, cardiac, diabetes and general lifestyle healthcare products. Schirmen Pharma has a strong and competent team of marketing partners in most of the African countries like Ivory Coast, Mali, Senegal, Mauritania, Guinea, Cameroon, Chad, Gabon, Congo-Brazzaville, Togo, etc. Discussions are in the final stages with local and international companies to introduce the products in the above-mentioned countries.
The Republic of Benin has a fairly young population with 63% under the age of 25. However, like most of the African countries, the Republic of Benin is plagued with the spread of diseases like malaria (accounting for 9% of all deaths), lower respiratory infections (accounting for 13% of all deaths) and diarrheal diseases (accounting for 5% of all deaths).
According to WHO, several lifestyles and non-communicable diseases like diabetes, heart attacks and stroke are major killers among adults and elders.
The introduction of Schirmen Pharma’s products in the Republic of Benin, through collaboration with local companies, will strengthen the healthcare system of the country in dealing with these diseases, and increase the average life expectancy of the population.
